$36,465 will get you a 2024 Subaru BRZ tS with upgraded brakes and dampers.

Subaru has disclosed pricing information for the 2024 BRZ lineup, which now includes the performance-oriented tS trim. It begins at $36,465, which is $2650 more than the Limited ($33,815) and $5150 more than the Premium ($31,315).

The performance-oriented tS trim level returns to the Subaru BRZ lineup for the second iteration of the rear-wheel-drive sports coupe. As before, the package includes brake and suspension modifications, as well as visual enhancements and unique badging. Yesterday, Subaru debuted the 2024 BRZ tS at the Subiefest event in California, and now we have a plethora of photos and information about its performance enhancements.

Brembo front and rear brakes, different 18-inch wheels, and a “STI-tuned” suspension setup with Hitachi dampers are the main mechanical modifications. These brakes feature the same larger rotors and enhanced pads as the new Performance package for 2024 on the Toyota GR86. The setup features 12.8-inch front and 12.4-inch rear rotors, which are 1.2 and 1.0 inches larger than the original rotors on the GR86 and BRZ, respectively. Nevertheless, the Subaru’s Hitachi dampers are distinct from the Toyota’s Sachs units, so calibration differences are inevitable.

The most noticeable visual distinction for the BRZ tS is the insignia on the grille and trunklid. The brake calipers are painted gold, and the 18-inch rims are a darker shade of gray than the standard wheels. The interior of the tS features blue stitching and blue leather accents on the seats, as well as STI insignia on the start button and gauge cluster.

The standard BRZ’s 228-hp, 2.4-liter flat-four engine remains unchanged, but the tS is only available with a six-speed manual transmission. The tS will be available in all exterior color options for the 2024 BRZ. All 2024 BRZ models equipped with manual transmissions will be equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assistance features.

The starting price for the BRZ tS, when it goes on sale later this year, will presumably be in the mid-$30,000 range.
