Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond Film ‘The Grand Tour’ Finale

The visit has reached a conclusion. After finishing filming the final special, Jeremy Clarkson, 63, James May, 60, and Richard Hammond, 52, have returned from Zimbabwe. According to BBC News, The Grand Tour will conclude its seven-year run on Amazon Prime next year.

Twenty years separate the three of them. They worked together as presenters on the popular television show Top Gear in 2003. After getting into a physical altercation with a producer in 2015, Clarkson left the show. In 2016, the gathering rejoined for The Great Visit. In 2019, after the initial three seasons, the organization of the show transformed from a week by week program to a progression of specials. Around two full length specials were delivered every year. Those will now come to an end.

This has been an intense month for devotees of both The Stupendous Visit and Top Stuff. Additionally, Top Gear’s upcoming cancellation was recently made public.

In an appearance on the Today digital broadcast last week, May said he felt it was the ideal opportunity for Top Stuff to take a stab at a new thing.

May stated, “My honest viewpoint is—I can say this now—it does need a little bit of a rethink.” The subject hasn’t been as interesting, I suspect, since the invention of the automobile, so it’s time for a new format and approach.”

Thanks to other shows, Clarkson, May, and Hammond fans can still get their fix. The well-liked Clarkson’s Farm series will continue for at least two more seasons. Furthermore, May has his Our Man In . . . series. Nevertheless, the end of The Grand Tour signifies the end of an era in automobile entertainment.
