Gran Turismo launched a series of virtual supercars designed by real-world automakers that could only be driven within the digital confines of the game in 2013, when Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” was dominating the airwaves, Barack Obama was president, and youths were saying “swag” instead of “drip.” Vision Gran Turismo ideas have kept on streaming out throughout the long term, and presently two new passages have been uncovered: the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta and the Bvlgari Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo, a surprising entry from the luxury fashion house Bulgari.
Beginning’s Crooked Supercar
The smooth Beginning X Gran Berlinetta feels like a more outrageous development of the dazzling Essentia idea from 2018, with a low and wide position and the most recent variant of the organization’s “two lines” lighting theme previously seen on the 2022 X Speedium Car idea. Aerodynamic slashes and scoops punctuate the smooth bodywork, and the wraparound taillights poke through the oblong rear fascia that swirls upward into a squat rear wing. The X Gran Berlinetta, according to Genesis, has a drag coefficient of 0.34.
The lodge is moderate, with a screen extending across the dashboard and only several actual dials that include the equivalent knurled metal completion seen inside Beginning creation vehicles. A yolk-style directing wheel includes a more modest, optional screen and two dials, one to control the degree of footing control and one to tune how much ABS intercession. Quilted leather covers the door panels and center console, and the seats have a lot of padding.
The X Gran Berlinetta is not electric, which is surprising for a vehicle that was first shown off in 2023. Instead, power comes from a hybrid system and a front-mid-mounted V-6 from Hyundai’s Lambda engine family. It is claimed that the V-6 can generate 870 horsepower and 790 pound-feet of torque on its own when revved to 10,000 rpm. YASA’s electric motor, which has been used in Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale and 296GTB, adds 201 horsepower and 196 pound-feet to the total output, bringing it to 1071 horsepower and 986 pound-feet. Although no performance metrics were mentioned, we would wager that it is pretty quick.
The Fashionista’s Track Toy
The second new Vision GT idea comes from Bulgari, and indeed, that is a similar Bulgari known for top of the line watches, gems, scents, and other extravagance merchandise. The organization’s most memorable auto adventure, the Bulgari Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo, sports a thick, wedge-like speedster body that feels suggestive of 1970s ideas like the Alfa Romeo 33 Bug Cuneo. The roofless Pininfarina B95, which was unveiled earlier this year, is also mentioned in passing. The plan, said to be motivated by the Bulgari Aluminum watch from 1998, highlights fresh wrinkles and straightforward shapes to make a striking and decisive look.
Similar to the setup on the Aston Martin Bulldog concept, two thin LED strips flank a single bank of headlights that sit in the middle of the vehicle and appear to be revealed by a fold-down panel. The wheels include blocky streamlined covers, and the brushed aluminum look gives the idea a DeLorean-like retro-cutting edge vibe. Yellow accents are used on the dials and bucket seats, and aluminum is also seen on the dashboard and steering wheel.
No exhibition details were given, however given the absence of openings in the Bulgari’s bodywork, we would need to envision it utilizes an electric powertrain. The plan was an organization between Bulgari’s item creation leader chief, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, and Fabio Filippini, previous plan chief for Pininfarina who wrote vehicles like the Sergio idea (later put into restricted creation by Ferrari) and another Vision Gran Turismo vehicle, the Fittipaldi EF7.
The Beginning X Gran Berlinetta will be added to Gran Turismo 7 in January, while the Bulgari Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo will join the game’s program later in 2024. The first Vision Gran Turismo from a non-automotive manufacturer is the Bulgari, though two others have been teased in the past. Nike and Jordan have been recorded on the Vision Gran Turismo site beginning around 2013, and keeping in mind that a secret sketch of the Nike exists, these ideas still can’t seem to emerge.
