Freshening Up and Adding Google Infotainment Apps to the 2024 Nissan Rogue

The Rogue plays a significant role as Nissan’s best-selling vehicle, so it’s not surprising that the small SUV is already getting another makeover. The 2024 Rogue receives a makeover that includes a new exterior design and new interior technological features. The present version of the Rogue has only been in production since the 2021 model year, and it has got a new engine for 2022.

Both the front and back ends have been redesigned, and both the grille and the taillights have undergone changes. The highest Platinum trim level (seen above) adds a new 19-inch wheel as well as gloss-black fender trim and a little ritzier-looking body package, while the SV’s 18-inch wheels are new. Three more colors will be available from Nissan: Baja Storm, Deep Ocean Blue Pearl, and Everest White Pearl.

Nissan claims that the center console, seats, and door panels all have distinct interior materials and finishes. The Platinum now comes with the option of brown leather upholstery. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the SL and Platinum trim levels features built-in Google applications including Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant. The S and SV trim levels still offer an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A wireless charging pad and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster are other features of the SL. While the bigger screen in the SL and Platinum supports wireless smartphone mirroring, the smaller screen is only wired Apple CarPlay compatible.

The 2024 Rogue’s regular 1.5-liter inline-three turbocharged engine still makes 201 horsepower and has a variable compression ratio, thus there are no modifications to the engine. All-wheel drive is an option; front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic gearbox are both standard. We evaluated a 2022 Rogue and discovered that although this engine improved the 60 mph time compared to the previous 2.5-liter inline-four, it fell short in terms of actual fuel efficiency.

Nissan has not yet released pricing information, but we anticipate a little increase from the basic price of $29,275 for the 2023 Rogue. Beginning in early 2024, the upgraded model will start showing up in American showrooms.
