The Toyota Land Cruiser has been reintroduced in the United States following a few years of hibernation. With today’s unveiling of the Land Cruiser Se concept, Toyota gives us a glimpse of what the first electric model could look like before the 250-series LC has even reached dealerships.

When it comes to concepts, there are typically few specifics. Despite the fact that this is primarily the case, Toyota has released some intriguing details and digital renderings. The Land Cruiser Se, for instance, is 202.8 inches long, 78.3 inches wide, and 67.1 inches tall. In addition, its wheelbase measures 120,1 inches. It has nearly eight inches more space between its axles than the latest production model.
According to Toyota, the unibody LC Se’s three rows of seats can accommodate seven occupants. The only mention of drivetrains is that the concept provides a “high-torque driving experience.” Since it is a Land Cruiser, there is little doubt that its hypothetical powertrain consists of dual electric motors delivering all-wheel drive. The concept does not appear to be limited to paved roads, as the press release mentions “confidence in tackling difficult terrain.”
The Toyota Land Cruiser Se concept’s angular body is undeniably alluring, despite the absence of any other information. Surprisingly, it bears little resemblance to its contemporary counterparts. In fact, if it weren’t for the “Toyota” lettering on its nose and above its taillight band, we wouldn’t even recognize it as a Toyota.
